lol that's cool...but it makes each character better because of the amount of detail you put into each appearance and personality makes them each unique but at the same time similar in many ways....especially since the main female characters are tall and hate shopping lol

My husband is 5'4", go figure. i've read so many books, and the women are always small and dainty and delicate and need protected even if they are the MC you know. WTF is that? I was going to make Jay Dee short, then i thought, what would be hotter than a 6ft Norwegian looking super model on the reservation? hehe Devyn is half elven and i made my elves tall in that world so it only made sense, plus she is uber menacing. Kennedi isn't as tall but she is taller. which is nice with her lanky skinny small boobed frame. But you have to admit, there is something hot as hell about a tall girl that can kick your ass.

i totally agree with you on that one.... its something new that you brought to the literary world..i really don't think i could picture Jay Dee as short.
for Devyn i always pictured elves as being tall super agile creatures so it makes sense that she would be tall and agile.
i think i would picture Kennedi as being 5'6" -5'8" i think that suits her more.
im pretty short myself lol i'm 5'7 lol

Miss me? I was at Nanas house Thursday and Friday. But I'm back.... I pictured Jay Dee as a tall blond supermodel you see on those Abrecombie and Fitch commercials. Don't know Devyn, yet. (hes an elf?)Kennedi would be midium sized like me. I'm not the tallest but not the shortest in my class. I'm like the third shortest guy in the class, kinda sucks.

Ok, and I was about to say that the picture used for Kennedi, was kind of freakish and unattractive, and then I saw that Danae changed it, and she looks fine.... Good Job Danae!

Oh and hey Danae, what does like 78k or 61k and all that stuff you usually mention when your talking about, mean? word count. publishing houses want a specific word count. a novella (small novel) is usually 45,000-62,000 words roughly 150-175 pages novel, depending on genera, can vary between 75,000-110,000 words. YA (Young Adult) of a non-fantasy variety are usually in the 75-80,000 range so 200-225 pages. Fantasy, sci-fi and paranormal based needs back story so they get more words 80-95,000 words, 225-245 pages. young adult-adult crossover like i write is geared more towards the 16+ age range, so they get more words like 85,000-110,000 words. roughly 245-335 pages. Make sense? When i say i have 25K more go to, that means i need to write 25,000 more words, or a quarter of a book. it helps to mark progression and a finish line. Prophecy:Revelation is 247,000 words, so it is rather big. Oops.

Prophecy:Revelation is 247,000 words, so it is rather big. Oops. So my book, is 15K so its 15,077 words as of right now. Crap so you write like 25K a day or something like that. And how do you guys like these two names I came up with, for a book: Karter and Cadence. Cadence is a french name, and Karter is just Carter with a K. I want to write them in like an end of the world type book, like Closing In... another book of mine. I guess I always wonder what is going to happen during the Rapture and Tribulation period, and during Christ's second coming. It should be neat but I'll have to do some research... Oh and Danae I checked out your blog, I found it on one of your links on your website, its pretty cool. I didn' t even know that you started Deception of Blood and Shadow Night Children of Angels, they looked pretty interesting. I haven't read them yet but i started on The Forgotten City of the Lotus Blossom and its awesome, the only part that i disliked is how are they going to make a movie of it when Asiah is walking around naked. So the book started out well in my mind, but I'm only on part 3 so what do I know? I"m so exhausted and feel like I've gotten nothing done this week, not even writing wise. Keep writing, K&K is over right? ;D

yea it does.. they seem to not know a masterpiece when they see it lol. its dumb how they are willing to publish all these shitty books and when some great material comes they shy away from it.

Well the Prophecy Saga isn't really a masterpiece yet, it needs some parts that aren't really needed cut. just maybe, I may be stupid by saying that.
