I'm sure that no one is happy with me and the cliffhanger ending, but hubs said it was better that way and that the Hayden chapter lost the affect of the ending. So that is where it will end.

Haven't thought of that, hmm, i'll think about it more... even if you try to wrap it with an epilogue to pull your reader into the next book, you have to leave that open ended cliff hanger as well. I am not a fan of epilogues however, when you have stuff going on outside of the web of the main characters, it is the perfect time to bring the attention of the reader to the shit they don't know about or happening. they can make or break a book. Only prophecy: Revelation has a epilogue in that saga because it set up all of the building blocks for what book two needed to pull from and left you hanging with the open ended statement, "Then again, I've been known to be wrong before." It makes you okay if it is the only book, but not really, you know. It was subtle. the coven was a bit of a WTF ending, but it works i think. That was purely my husbands doing though, but i agree with him in ending it there. If you do it with a cliffy, it has to be subtle but have a wow factor that makes you turn the page. good luck

Thanks I'll use your advice, it takes me a while to write at least ten pages... so it'll take me a while to write a whole bunch, like you do each day.
